Susan Paynter, Chair of Woodstock Environmental Commission (WEC), realized that there are so many Woodstock organizations and citizens committed to the environment that we couldn’t possibly fit them all into one day. She proposed expanding the event to a week long celebration. Teaming up with event creator Sylvia Bullett and community creatives, they’ll present a week of great events to honor our precious planet.

Thank you to all the businesses in town who are supporting Earth Week Woodstock by posting environmental quotes in their windows. Take a stroll through town and read them all!
Listen to co-organizers Susan and Sylvia talk about the upcoming festival and reminisce about the origins of Earth Day in Woodstock, on Green Radio Hour with Jon Bowermaster.
Dear Folks:
Please bring your own water in reusable containers. No plastic bottles of water will be provided. Would it not be a bummer to have an Earth Week that succeeds in adding more plastic garbage into an already overwhelmed ecosystem? Time to get with the program!
Carry it in–carry it out.
Let’s go for zero waste.
Thank you!
Help us raise funds for the Woodstock Environmental Commission to cover costs for Earth Week, including performers, printing and rental costs.
